About the Role
Safety Officers are responsible for monitoring site conditions, enforcing safety regulations, and ensuring compliance with SABIC and occupational health standards. They play a vital role in preventing accidents, identifying hazards, and promoting a culture of safety across all project activities. Their presence ensures that all workers operate in a controlled and compliant environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily site inspections to identify hazards, unsafe practices, and non‑compliance issues.
- Implement and enforce safety policies, procedures, and emergency response plans.
- Monitor high‑risk activities such as scaffolding, lifting, hot work, and confined space operations.
- Prepare safety reports, incident logs, and corrective action plans.
- Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings, and awareness sessions.
- Coordinate with supervisors and management to ensure continuous safety improvement.
- Ensure full compliance with SABIC, EGC & FNS, and Saudi regulatory standards.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety standards.
- Experience in industrial or construction safety roles; SABIC project experience preferred.
- Ability to conduct risk assessments and implement preventive measures.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Certifications such as NEBOSH/OSHA/BLS are an advantage.
